Here are some raw beauty materials that you can find in your kitchen:

Avocados are creamy and delicious, a perfect pairing with some toast. But did you know they’re also an excellent source of fats and antioxidants? Avocados are full of carotenoids. These compounds are often added to beauty products as “anti-aging” ingredients. Why bother purchasing a anti-aging face mask when you could whip one up yourself? All you need is half of a ripe avocado, a big tablespoon of yogurt, a teaspoon of natural honey and two tablespoons of warm water. Stir well, and apply to your face!

Oatmeal is a breakfast staple that is also a common ingredient in beauty products. Besides the rough texture making it a great exfoliating ingredient, it has plenty of saponins, making it a fantastic skin cleanser. Mix a third of a cup of oatmeal with half a cup of warm water. Let it thicken, then add a drizzle of honey for a moisturizing effect. Stir well, and apply!

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is another healthy fat that has amazing benefits for your body. Besides being a great moisturizer for your skin, it’s wonderful for your hair! Warm a bit of coconut oil by running it under some hot water. Apply a couple spoonfuls to damp, clean hair and work it through with your fingers. Tie your hair into a bun and let it soak for a couple minutes. After rinsing, your hair will be clean, moisturized, volumized, and shiny!

Does your skin need a buff? Don’t bother buying an expensive exfoliating scrub or a buffer. Instead, grab some sugar. Its rough texture makes it a great exfoliate. Since it also helps to moisturize your skin, it’s even better! When you feel like your skin needs a good scrub, scoop some sugar into a bowl then add in some olive oil until it becomes a paste. Squeeze in some lemon or lime for some cleansing powers and a great smell. Do note that you should use different types of sugar depending on where you want to use the scrub. If you are planning to scrub your limbs or the tougher skin on your body, use raw sugar, which is more coarse. If you want a facial scrub, opt for brown sugar. The softer grains make it a better choice.

Chamomile Tea Bags

Eye masks can get incredibly pricey, but guess what you can use instead? Chamomile tea bags!

When you haven’t been getting enough sleep at night, fluid begins to build up under your eyes, resulting in those eye bags that you cover up with concealer. All you have to do is make a cup of chamomile tea then put the tea bags in the freezer for a couple minutes. The coolness of the tea bag will be soothing, while the chamomile will work its natural anti-inflammatory magic.

These citrus fruits are antibacterial. This property makes them amazing at reducing your blackheads and pimples. Such skin issues come as a result of bacteria accumulating in your pores. By applying lemon juice or even by scrubbing your face with a cut lemon, you can cleanse your face and reduce the bacteria accumulated on your face, freshening up your skin.
